29 Cornelia Street, New York NY 10014

In May 1977 three artists stumbled across a tiny storefront in the heart of Greenwich Village and thought it the perfect place to open a café. For two months they scraped and sanded, plumbed and plastered, and did the intricate dance one does with the authorities who live beyond the Village, and on the weekend of July 4, 1977, perpetually 201 years behind the US, they opened the Cornelia Street Café.

Smalls Jazz Club was created in 1994 by the enigmatic Mitchell Borden. Borden, a former Navy submariner, registered nurse, philosopher and jazz violinist, founded the club with an initiative to create an environment that was conducive to jazz music and it’s culture.

The Sugar Bar offers an intimate and elegant ambiance, with the feel of an old country village, on the trendy upper west side of Manhattan. Located inside of a beautiful, converted brownstone, the Sugar Bar is best known for its sensational cuisine and live entertainment.
